Fall Plant Sale Pick Up Information

Tree, shrub & plant pick up at Llama Barn on 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville
Thursday October 2nd 2025 11am- 6pm
Friday October 3rd 2025 10am-2pm
Please read this message in its entirety for important details.

  • *New this year- two days for pick up. Choose whichever day works best for your schedule. You can send a friend, neighbor, etc. to pick up your order, they just need your name.
  • The fairground’s address for mapping systems is 2003 Pleasant St. Noblesville.
  • Please enter the fairgrounds from Clover Rd. See the map below.
    • All customers will enter the barn through the east entrance.  Please pull your vehicle directly into the Llama barn to load your order.  There will be two pick-up lanes. You will drive through the building and out the other side. Map below. Please follow the signs on site.
  • Construction: Please check your route ahead of time as multiple construction projects will disrupt routes and cause delays.  Pleasant Street is closed just west of the fairgrounds and 19th Street is closed north of Pleasant. There is additional construction at 146th St. and Allisonville Road and a closure at US 32 and Hauge.

Other notes:
  • Most species are 2-5 feet at delivery and will fit in the back of an SUV or even a car.
    • If you are loading your trees into the backseat of a car or a trunk, you may want to bring a tarp or blanket to cover your vehicle interior. Please have your cover placed before entering the line/building.
  • If you need to secure your order in your truck bed, etc., we ask that you please exit the building and make any adjustments outside of the building.
  • Info on tree planting is available here.
  • Remember these are young tree specimens, and it is fall. You are investing in healthy root stock, so don’t worry if your specimen lacks dense foliage.  Get your tree planted and watered, and wait for growth in the spring.
  • Drought:  young trees should be deeply watered with 5-15 gallons of water weekly from April through October.  We will have watering bags for sale at pick up (credit card only) or you can learn about our favorite tree watering hack here.
  • Please note that as we cannot control things like planting, maintenance, and watering, the SWCD cannot guarantee trees or offer refunds after pickup.
  • All trees not picked up by 2:00 PM Friday (without other special arrangements) will be donated.
  • Don’t forget to call 811 at least 3 days before planting to have utilities marked. Additionally, all trees should be planted half the mature canopy width plus fifteen feet from any power lines.
  • Any extra trees will be added to our online store by Wednesday, October 8th. Watch our Facebook page for an update. Additional trees will NOT be for sale at pick up. Watering bags will be available for purchase (credit card only).
  • Want to volunteer for tree sale prep (9/30 & 10/1) or pick up day (10/2 or 10/3)?  Sign up for a shift here. Volunteers get first dibs AND a discount on leftover sale specimens!

We had another record year for the sale with over 2300 trees and shrubs sold and over 800 herbaceous plants.  This sale is the SWCD’s largest fundraiser and critical to our mission.  The pick up event is run by the SWCD’s small staff with the irreplaceable support of our volunteers.  We appreciate your support and we appreciate your patience.
