Conserving our water resources through the use of micro-irrigation can reduce your carbon footprint and your water bill. Micro-irrigation is low pressure and low flow irrigation that delivers water right where you want it to go - the roots.

When installed correctly and maintained properly, this type of irrigation has many benefits:

• Increases plant health by providing consistent slow moisture 
• Reduces weed pressure between plants

Types of Micro-irrigation

There are many types of micro-irrigation systems. We recommend working with an irrigation contractor that has experience installing micro-irrigation systems for your soil type, water source and application (e.g., raised beds, landscaping, orchard, etc.)

• Low flow overhead sprinkler (micro-sprinklers, micro-sprays, wobblers)
• Drop lines (drip tape or drip tubes)
