Mr. Poppins® Winterberry is the compact male pollinator needed to help Berry Poppins® and compatible female winterberries produce their red fruit. We recommend including it in or near a winterberry planting, especially in rain gardens and moist shrub borders. Its flowers provide pollen for bees and enable nearby female plants to set bird-feeding berries. This cultivar does not produce berries itself, so its value is functional rather than decorative and should be clearly understood when choosing plants.
