CANCELED Hamilton County Parks Weed Wrangle 4/22/2020 from 1pm - 3pm
Potter's Bridge Park 19401 N Allisonville Road, Noblesville, IN 46060.
Hosted by: Hamilton County Parks and Recreation
Come help us restore the ecological health of Potter's Bridge Park on Earth Day! We will be removing invasive herbs and shrubs. This prevents them from crowding out native trees, shrubs and flowers and allows for replanting of native flora in hopes of creating a diverse ecosystem that will provide habitat that is vital to native wildlife. This project requires pulling and cutting. Gloves, long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. Minors must have authorized parental permission. Some snacks and water will be provided by our friends at Hamilton County Tourism. Our friends from Hamilton County Soil and Water will also be on hand to provide additional information and resources. The park is located at 19401 N Allisonville Road, Noblesville, IN 46060. There is ample parking located within the park.

Weed Wrangle® events are hosted nationwide to gather volunteer effort to help control invasive plants that are negatively impacting our public parks, green spaces and natural areas. Community members learn to identify and control these invasive trees, shrubs, vines and plants through hands-on removal. Hamilton County is in the process of forming a CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area) to combat the problem of invasive species spreading across the landscape. As a kickoff to the formation of our CISMA; many municipalities, parks departments, non-profits, businesses advocacy organizations and private land owners are hosting a Weed Wrangle® this spring. Join Fishers Parks & Recreation at Cheeney Creek Natural Area to take on some Garlic Mustard.
