Beautiful fall color. Tolerates wet soil and air pollution. Great specimen tree but avoid planting too close to sidewalks/driveway. *Red maple is a lovely native tree, so lovely that it has been heavily planted and makes up a significant portion of our Central Indiana tree canopy. Consider Black Cherry and Black Gum as other great alternatives with similar characteristics.
