Why We Recommend It
Eastern White Pine is a fast-growing native evergreen with soft foliage, graceful branching, and excellent value as a large windbreak or privacy screen. We recommend it for spacious properties and naturalized woodland plantings where it can be protected from road salt and hot reflected conditions. Seeds feed birds and mammals, dense branches provide winter shelter, and the foliage supports native caterpillars. Allow room for its mature size and be aware of weevil, blister rust, and storm-damage concerns.
