Urban Agriculture

What is urban agriculture?
The most basic definition of urban agriculture is growing and cultivating food in or around a city or town. The focus of the SWCD Urban Agriculture program will be on community gardens and backyard gardens.

Mission:
The SWCD Urban Agriculture Program recognizes and supports the importance of backyard and community gardens in Hamilton County. Through education, we will raise awareness of the benefits of urban agriculture. Through technical assistance, we will help residents start new gardens and improve their existing gardens.
